Employee pay regulations in Singapore

Minimum wage

Singapore does not have a universal statutory minimum wage. However, minimum salary requirements apply to certain sectors under the Progressive Wage Model (PWM). In addition, employers hiring foreign workers must comply with the Local Qualifying Salary (LQS) requirement for local employees.

Frequency

Salaries are paid monthly within seven days of the end of the salary period (14 days for overtime payments).

Payday

Usually the last working day or the last Friday of each month.
